Piece by Piece: Making Health Connections

About “Family Talk”

Some teens and their parents will be asked to help us learn how families talk about and resolve their different views on everyday family life, household rules, and smoking. Teens and their parents will discuss these issues together during a 1 1/2-hour visit with research staff at the family’s home or at the University of Illinois at Chicago. These discussions will be videotaped so that the research team can review them later, but no one else sees the tape.
